Guest Reviews
This was the first tour we took on our honeymoon on Bali and it really set the bar very high for all that followed. The 5-star rating doesn't do it justice, it deserves much more. If you like the nature and are interested in history and traditions of Balinese people, this is definitely the tour for you! My husband and I were delighted by all the visited locations, but we were absolutely awestruck by the Taman Ayun Temple, the Jatiluwih Rice Terrace and, of course, Tanah Lot Temple. Anyone traveling to Bali should take the time to see those places and this tour provides a perfect opportunity to do so, accompanied by a very knowledgeable and friendly guide/driver. Our driver was Ngakan Putu - if you are lucky enough to get him, you are guaranteed a great day out. He was cheerful and talkative, gave us all the information we wanted to know about Bali and Balinese culture/people and was even kind enough to stop at a vendor stand on our way back to the hotel, so that we could try Durian fruit for the first time. Definitely a tour and company for every recommendation!
Informative and friendly Driver.
This was the perfect tour that fitted in all of the sites we wanted to see into one day, with some great additional and optional experiences along the way. Stopping at a local coffee plantation was definitely a highlight! Our guide, Wayan, was so informative and friendly and even leant us some money when we ran out!! (On this note- make sure you bring plenty of money and be prepared unlike us! There are lots of great foods / coffees etc that are well worth purchasing throughout the day). My only comment would be that animal lovers should be prepared as you will see some things throughout the villages that will make you quite uncomfortable. Nothing extreme, but I did find it quite tough, albeit very eye opening.
Amazing experience! Personalised and very informative.
I am very pleased with this day tour. First of all, we had an excellent guide. He was very friendly and knowledgable, and provided us with a lot of interesting insights about Bali. This made me even more fascinated by this island. He was also very helpful in answering our questions and bringing us to shops.
Secondly, the places we visited (rice paddies, Mt Batur, coffee plantation) struck us with awe. The rice paddies were vast and verdant. It was truly a sight to behold. As for Mt Batur, it was breathtaking and we were reluctant to leave. The air was fresh and cooling. For an affordable and totally worth bill of 100,000 rp per person, we got to enjoy the buffet with the mountain and lake right behind us. Talk about dining with a view! Try the sate lilit and spring rolls!
The coffee plantation visit exceeded my expectations. It not only grew coffee beans but also a multitude of different flowers that were used in teas, such as Rosella, ginger, and lemon grass. It was remarkable. We sampled 12 different teas and their special coffee made by beans yielded from the feces of Luak. The teas were an awakening of the palate. I also got to see how the coffee beans were roasted and had a chance to grind the beans!
Lastly, the reason why I had a whale of a time in Bali was because of the locals! They were very friendly. Food was cheap and good too.
Sandi is a splendid guide. We'd be glad to have him bring us around again the next time we come back!
